Estimation Technique
The estimation technique involves the estimation of the amount of greenhouse gases and air pollutant emissions released from passenger cars, light-duty, medium-duty and heavy-duty trucks, buses, trains, and other vehicles during transportation activity. The results can be compared before and after strategy implementation, which can then be used by policy analysts, planners and others interested in the effects of changes in transportation energy and mobility patterns on emissions. The TEMPO model can be used to evaluate the effects of a wide range of policies and technologies, including vehicle fuel efficiency.
